Turkish Food Festival Helps the Needy of Arkansas

IMG 0920cropped smllWe are happy to announce that Raindrop Turkish House Little Rock Branch has donated a portion of the Turkish Food Festival proceedings to the Arkansas Food Bank. The Annual Turkish Food Festival took place on April 26, 2014, however, the tornado disaster in Central Arkansas has delayed the delivery of the donation. Many of volunteers were actively involved with disaster relief efforts; collecting debris, fundraising, and visiting the sites.

The development associate Ms. Rebecca Smithson, who is new at her position at the Food Bank, indicated that this donation will provide four thousand meals to the needy in Arkansas.

As responsible citizens of Arkansas we applaud the efforts of all aid organizations like the Foodbank, and look forward to assist all of them in any way we can. Of the total proceedings almost $2,000 was spent for the disaster relief and the Arkansas Food Bank received $1,000 on May 21, 2014.

Meanwhile, the tornado aid campaign is still going on. You can click here to donate for the Tornado victims and other campaigns that Raindrop Turkish House and its volunteers contribute.
