The final game was between Turkey and Bosnia in the tournament between the four teams: Bangladesh, Bosnia, India and Turkey. Turkey had won the match India-Turkey 4-6 and Turkey-Bangladesh 2-1. Bosnia on the other hand, had beaten the India with a huge difference 14-1 and was tie with Bangladesh 2-2.

Finally, two teams, Bosnia-Turkey, meet at the final. The match was a sort of goal duel! First minute Bosnia scored: 1-0. Turkey replied to it in several minutes and scored even one more right after, changing the game to 1-2. Bosnia responded immediately to catch up again.  Bosnia did not stop there but scored one more at the very last minute before the first break: 3-2. Turkey has to score at least one more to be the champion but how?  (December 2, 2011 Austin Texas)

In the second round of the play Turkey made a key change. Onur Kaya the tournament’s organizer joined to the team of Turkey. Onur was the referee of the match in the first part now leaving its place to Naser Halimi from Bosnia team. In the second half Turkey became quite another team, press more and seek for all possible goal ways. Finally the goal came in at the 40th minutes for the Turkey. Bosnia 3, Turkey 3. This was enough for championship but was not enough for Turkey.  Turkey’s attacks kept coming and resulted in another goal in the last 5 minutes of the game. This was the last goal of the match; Bosnia 3, Turkey 4. 

Turkey won this exciting and challenging game, and became the champion with 9 points total. Bosnia remained at 4 points but with a high quality play that they showed us during the tournament.   

The competition for the third place on the other hand was between India and Bangladesh. India beat Bangladesh in this final game with 3-1 and took the 3rd place. Bangladesh has to take the 4th with 1 point total, even though their high performance in the beginning of the tournament. A good start is not always brings a good end. At least it is the case for Bangladesh this time.

CELEBRATION WITH TURKISH DONER

A crowd of about 100 celebrated the championship together with a party.  After the games Turkish team supporters and players served Turkish doner, baklava, ashura and salad to the players and supporters of the tournament. Bosnian players provided the drinks. Everybody was happy and lots of fun.

Eurasia Tournament was very nice! All teams played gentlemanly and we had lots of fun. 

I want to admit that, when we look at the last games we can say that all the teams had close power, similar ability to win and almost equal performance. Any team can be the champion at the end. 

If you ask that what is your difference, I can say that, we tried to stay calm during game. That's why we made a lot less mistakes. We also worked hard to get the championship. Before the final game we played two practice game for preparation. Now we know each other better.  I think we did our best. I should also admit that we were also lucky. We reached our goal thanks God!

Above the championship and lots of fun that we had we establish friendship. I guess this is the real take for everyone and I am happy to see that here.

I hope we organize more tournaments together...
