The DFW Branch of the Raindrop Turkish House welcomed a group of graduate students from UT Dallas on January 27th, 2012. Director of Dallas branch gave brief information about Raindrop Turkish House.
Dr. Habte Woldu , Director International Management Programs, A.K. Sharif, Program Coordinator and UT Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management graduate students are going to visit Turkey on March 2012. Dallas Raindrop Turkish House Volunteers presented a briefing of about Turkey. The briefing touched Turkish history, politics, social life, language, music and food. After viewing the presentation on Turkish culture, the guests enjoyed the traditional Turkish food as well. During the program the students found an opportunity to learn more about the people of Turkey and Turkish culture. Dr. Woldu thanked the Raindrop Turkish House for the hospitality. Raindrop Turkish House Kids Club had organized a competition for children from 3rd to 8th class students. The questions for the knowledge contest were prepared by the kids Magazine "Gonca". There were 4 groups attended to the competition which contains 3 children in each group. The group named "Kanuni" was awarded the 1st place.(11/24/2011 Dallas,TX)

It has become a tradition for Raindrop Turkish House Dallas to share their Thanksgiving Lunch with Richardson Fire Department Station 4 and with the Lindan Park Care Center Nursing Home staff. The fire department officers had shown their appreciation by saying "We really enjoyed it and it means a lot that citizens like yourself take the time to think of us. Raindrop Turkish House Dallas in collaboration with The Institute of Interfaith Dialog and Dallas Islamic Center had celebrated the thanksgiving with neighbors and friends. Attendees enjoyed the traditional turkey dinner in this early thanksgiving program, and thanked the foundation for being an excellent neighbor for the community. During the presentations, the importance of thanksgiving and gratefulness is emphasized from different cultural perspectives. The conclusion of the presentation was to thank God and pray together with saying "Let's thank our beautiful country, let's thank our living constitution, and let's thank the people around us.
