Raindrop Turkish House of El Paso organized Early Thanksgiving Dinner on November 22nd evening to El Paso community. Early Thanksgiving Dinner was an opportunity for Turkish families and friends to share their insightful cares, delicious Thanksgiving dinner with pumpkin pies. It was an amazingly beautiful gathering of more than 70 people from different faith communities to share a meal and have a social conversation. Each table shared their cultural and faith perspectives regarding the how they were celebrating Thanksgiving. The event started with welcoming remarks by Riza Gurlek, director of Raindrop Turkish House. Every single guest made a short and brief prayer for gathering around Thanksgiving Dinner. Later on Hal Marcus, entrepreneurial artist of El Paso along the Rio Grande, gave brief speech of his artistic thoughts of Thanksgiving within Raindrop Community and gave a present to President/CEO of Raindrop Turkish Houses. Mr. Okumus was pleased to join the event in El Paso and talked about how the community is beautified with such an events.Towards the end of the Thanksgiving Dinner, participants stated that such social gathering activities are vital to establish a peaceful dialog platform among peoples of different faiths and social backgrounds and they will be eagerly waiting for the next year's Thanksgiving Dinner.
