The Alliance for Multicultural Community Services is currently having a toy and clothing drive for the winter holiday season to benefit the children in our program. Most of the children who will receive these gifts have been in the country for less than six months. Our goal is to present each child with a toy and some warm clothing (jacket, gloves, hat, etc.) on December 22nd.

Raindrop Turkish House Oklahoma City chapter hosted a luncheon on December 12, Monday. The topic of the luncheon was " Women's Impact: Changing our community. How the gift of time, talent and treasure can change the quality of life in our community, one issue at a time”. The keynote speaker was Janet L. Peery. Peery is the CEO of the YWCA Oklahoma City. Peery began her speech with a brief history of the YWCA organization and talked about the services they offer. Peery emphasized on the importance of addressing the domestic violence through education.

Raindrop Turkish House collected toys from the Turkish-American community before the New Year. This year, the Tulsa Police Department is using their lights to brighten up a child's eyes in a whole different way! That's right, On December 1st; the Riverside Division begun a Toy Drive to benefit children who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to glow. Therefore, Raindrop Turkish House-Tulsa donated more than 200 toys for Riverside Police Division's toy drive campain on Dec 5th.RTH director Hidayet Gozeten said "When we learn about campain we asked our community to bring toys for needy children.And we collected more than 200 toys." and he added "When it comes to "giving needy people" specially the children, our community is very generous."
