UNM Turkish Classes Reklam - CopyRaindrop Foundation offers Turkish classes for all whether you are beginner or an experienced speaker looking to sharpen your speaking skills. The aim of all Turkish lessons at Raindrop is to develop all students' listening, speaking, reading, writing, and socio-cultural interaction skills. There are a lot of options! Our teachers are native Turkish speakers who are fully qualified to teach Turkish as a second language.

Ramazan Feast Celebration at Albuquerque Raindrop Turkish House

abqramadanfeastThe Turkish- American community celebrated Ramadan feast at the Raindrop Turkish House in Albuquerque. People from Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Socorro gathered early in the morning for the special bayram prayer in their best clothes. After the bayram prayer, adults greeted one another wholeheartedly; children honored the hand-kissing custom (kissing an adult's right hand and placing it on one's forehead as a sign of love and respect), while wishing their elders kids got special presents and gifts along with sweets and a bayram tip. Following the prayer and greetings, all the participants enjoyed bayram breakfast which was sponsored by a local businessman, Muhterem Yildirim from Santa Fe. Children were surprised and happy when they got special prepared gifts. Children also enjoyed jumper and piñata game. Adults who are interested in soccer watched the soccer game between Besiktas vs. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality S.C. It was an unforgettable day for everybody.

Raindrop Turkish House - Albuquerque Hosted Church Members for a Ramadan Iftar Dinner

churchdinnerRaindrop Turkish House- Albuquerque hosted representatives of seven different churches including Executive Director of NM Conference of Churches for a Ramadan Iftar dinner. This group also had a trip to Turkey last April. This is why; it was more than an iftar dinner but also a reunion dinner for Turkey trip alumni's. While having the dinner, participants enjoyed memories and photos of their Turkey trip. It was a great opportunity for everyone to share their exciting moments and experiences throughout their tour in Turkey.

Raindrop Turkish House Hosted FBI Albuquerque Division for Ramadan Iftar Dinner

fbidinnerAlbuquerque Raindrop Turkish House hosted FBI Albuquerque Division, Carol K.O. Lee special agent in Charge and her team for Ramadan Iftar Dinner. Before the dinner, the night started with welcoming of guests by Abq IID representative and Executive Director of Raindrop to the friendship and engagement dinner. Following, Executive Director of Raindrop gave some information about Raindrop, its mission in Abq, previous- future events of Raindrop and presented a video related to these topics. After that, all the guests enjoyed delicious Turkish Food. While having the dinner, the event continued with a presentation about IID and historic, cultural heritage of Turkey by IID rep.

At the end of the event one of the local Turkish American businessmen presented a gift to the special agent in charge to Abq division Carol K.O. Lee. After the program guests continued to have conversation and exchanged their information for further dialog and friendship.
