The Turkish community in Oklahoma city, celebrated Ramadan feast (Turkish: Ramazan Bayrami; Arabic: Eid-ul-Fitr ),  at the Raindrop Turkishhouse. People in their best clothes gathered early in the morning for the special Bayram prayer. Adults greeted and embraced one another wholeheartedly; children honored the hand-kissing custom (kissing an adult's right hand and placing it on one's forehead as a sign of love and respect), while wishing their elders Bayram greetings and being awarded by a Bayram tip in return. Dinner was served following the prayer and greetings.

Following the multiple tornadoes that devastated communities across the state in May, the response from those wanting to help was immense.

As Oklahoma is no stranger to disaster, the ability to join with local partner organizations is critical in response and recovery. Being neutral and impartial allows bridges to be built that play a vital role in making the community in Oklahoma strong, resilient and ready.
