Raindrop Women's Association has done first Book Club discussion session on February 19th. The book of the month was “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett. The discussion session was veryrewarding and engaging.

Raindrop is Helping Shelters - February

casadeAustin's Raindrop Women's Association and Raindrop Turkish House volunteers visits and make donations to differents shelters each month.

This month they were at Casa Marianella Emergency shelter in downtown Austin. As a part of Raindrop's helping shelters project , they prepared full meal for the residents and serve them.

Casa Marianella provides Housing and food for up to 35 immigrants, English Classes and Case Management to help residents assess their problems, access services (medical, legal, etc.) and achieve their goals.

Raindrop is Helping Shelters - January

 

safeplaceRaindrop Turkish House has been making donations to different shelters in Austin since 2012. Types of donations are food items, meal, clothing or toys. 

Raindrop Turkish House volunteers were  at Safe Place, the largest women and children shelter in Austin. They papered full meal for residents  staying at shelter. 

 We would like to thank  Safe Place  staff for the opportunity and thank Raindrop volunteers for their valuable contributions.

 

 
JOY DROPS by Raindrop Women’s Association

Raindrop Women’s Association has done the projects called “JOY DROPS”  at the end of 2013.  

RAWA volunteers sponsored to collect donations and prepare new year gift bags for students who come from low income families at Ruth Barron Elementary. 

They gave gifts to the children and received room full of smiles. That was priceless.
