Corpus Christi Mayor Joe Adame And His Delegation's Visit To Houston

DSC_0159Corpus Christi Mayor Joe Adame and his delegation visit to Houston organized by Raindrop Turkish House in Corpus Christi. Firstly Corpus Christi Mayor Joe Adame and his delegation Deputy Director Business Development Ruben C. Medina, Executive Vice President of Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation John Plotnik ,SIOR,CEcD, meet at the breakfast invited by Consul General of Republic of Turkey is Mr. Cemalettin Aydin. Commercial Attache of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey Ms. Deniz Senyurt also attends to the breakfast. Later Mayor Adame gathers with some Turkish businessmen at the Turquoise Center for lunch. Mayor Adame and his delegation were informed about business relations between Turkey and The United States of America by Commercial Attache of Republic of Turkey Ms. Senyurt and Turkish American Chamber of Commerce (TTACC) President Mr. Celil Yaka.

Coffee Night At Raindrop Turkish House In Corpus Christi

DSC_0123"Raindrop Women Association brought ladies from diverse cultures together in the Coffee Night on Saturday, September 24 at 6:30 pm. The program started with a presentation about the Central Anatolia region of Turkey. Guests were introduced to the customs, tourist attractions, climate, economy, and geographical features of the region. After the presentation, they had an opportunity to taste some of the traditional food of this region such as Keşkek, gözleme, iç. Ladies had sincere conversations while sipping the delightful Turkish Coffee with or without milk according to their preference. The program ended with performing the local dance together. It was such an enjoyable night that guests said that they were looking forward to the next Coffee Night in October. Corpus Christi Raindrop Women Association thanks to all who joined. Turkish Cuisine Classes Have Begun At Raindrop Turkish House Corpus Christi

DSC_0032Fall Semester 2011 Turkish Cuisine Class Courses have begun September 16th at Raindrop Turkish House in Corpus Christi branch. Weekday's group on Friday between 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm. Saturday's group 4:00 pm-6:00 pm during the weekend group are involved in courses of Turkish Cuisine Class. Because of strong interest shown to weekend classes on Saturdays new class section are formed between 12:30 am-02:30 pm. To the trainees who attend to courses at least (6) weeks are qualified to receive a certificate by Raindrop Turkish House, our courses continue until May 2012. In classes 2 hours per week three different Turkish foods are taught how to cook and taste together with teachers and other trainees. Pleasant, cheerful and entertaining classes attracts participants will be looking forward to the next classes.

Turkish Language Classes Have Begun At Raindrop Turkish House Corpus Christi

DSC_0072Fall Semester Turkish Classes have begun on September 15 at Raindrop Turkish House in Corpus Christi branch. Our Turkish Classes participant groups are every Thursday between 5.00pm-7:00 pm weekdays group; Saturday 2.00pm-4.00pm during the weekend. Courses available, which will continue until May 2012, six (6) four-week periods, will be formed. Our Students who successfully pass a top draw at the end of six weeks, and starting to the new classes will be opened. 2 Semester (12) weeks will be given a certificate of continuing trainees. The language courses are free, anyone who want to participate in the Turkish language.

Raindrop Turkish House Women Association Of Corpus Christi Visited The Cimmaron Place Nursing And Rehabilitation Center

IMG_1890"Raindrop Turkish House Women Association of Corpus Christi visited the Cimmaron Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on the day of Ramadan Festival . This center is a 170 bed-facility offering skilled nursing care and rehabilitation health care in the Corpus Christi area. Since visiting elderly people during the festival is part of the Turkish tradition, Turkish ladies spent some time at the Center with their kids. Kids enjoyed playing Bingo with the elderly people. Residents talked about their children and grandchildren. Kids wanted to visit the center frequently since they missed their own grandparents. At the end of the visit, everybody was so happy. We really thank to Director of the Center and Activity Coordinator for their hospitality and kindness."
