Raindrop El Paso hosted the final Ladies' Coffee Night of the season on "Cinco De Mayo"(May 5)! Enriched with the two remarkable themes of the month of May, "Cinco De Mayo" and "Mother's Day" various informative and fun activities presented. Stacey Giraldez and Kristi Lai gave a speech about "Attachment Parenting and its benefits for the family" to the Raindrop Moms and later they all enjoyed the "pinata" and several entertaining traditional "Cinco De Mayo" games. The surprising slide show of the photos of the Raindrop Moms with their kids as a Mother's Day gift was so heart touching! The amazing night ended with the gifts given to the speakers.(5/15/2012)

On April, 28 Turkish Raindrop organized spring festival of this year.
Iskender, doner(gyro kebap),kofte(meatball),sarma (grape leaves)delicios desserts were some of the delicious food served during the festival.
Children enjoyed fun activities for them like pace painting, jumping balloon, foosball, and many more.
Turkish tea and coffee were served by the volunteers
Live folk dance performance in the festival amused visitors, many of whom had no chance to see it before.(5/7/2012)

Raindrop Turkish House El Paso hosted another Ladies’ Coffee Night on April 14, 2012. Ladies’ Coffee Night started with warm greetings from Mrs. Himmetoglu. Then the keynote speaker Mrs. Lisa Gutierrez, 65th judicial family court judge, gave a speech on 'Laws which affect and protect children' which was highly of interest to the Raindrop moms. Afterwards Judge Gutierrez answered the guests's questions. At the end of the speech, representatives of Raindrop Turkish House gave an unforgettable traditional gift from Turkey to Mrs. Gutierrez. Later on, Mrs. Becky Frank shared some of her life and career experiences with us. Undoubtedly, delicious Turkish Coffee and dishes from Turkish Cuisine were the most enjoyable part of the night which everybody enjoyed.(4/28/2012)

A cooking contest held at the Raindrop Turkish House El Paso on April 21, Saturday. The contestants were 3 El Pasoan friends who love Turkish Cuisine and the juries were 5 ladies; two Turkish and 3 Elpasoan ladies. The contestants baked ‘sekerpare’, cookies with sugar syrup. While they were waiting for cookies to be baked, the guests had some fun with other little contests such as balling as many cookies as they can in three minutes. Miss Sanchez, the winner of the contest, was given a Turkish plate. Besides, the other contestants and the juries were given some prizes as well, such as handmade Turkish scarves, Turkish snacks and candies, and some Turkish ornaments for kitchen. With the excitement of the cooking contest, the Raindrop Ladies had another fun day by enjoying the conversations with friends and the luscious Turkish food.(4/25/2012)
