Donation to Sandy Victims


(Friday, November 9th 2012) Raindrop Foundation Lubbock brach, in collaboration with Turkish Student Association, proudly continues organizing the monthly Doner days on Texas Tech campus. The one in November was organized to help the victims of hurricane Sandy. All the profits and donations collected during the event were sent to the needy people of Sandy.

Raindrop Foundation visited Coronado High School

(Monday, October 22nd 2012, 9.00 am) Raindrop Foundation Lubbock Branch, in collaboration with Turkish Student Association at Texas Tech University, visited Coronado High School in Lubbock with a request from the International Cultural Center K-12 Global Education office at Texas Tech. Mr. Mehmet Okumus, president of Raindrop Foundation in Houston, did a presentation of Turkish Culture for two class sessions of World Culture class. Students enjoyed watching his presentation, learning about Turkish Culture, and traditional Turkish dessert, baklawa.

Mississippi Tornado Victims Need Our Help!
mstornadosonWe are deeply saddened by the loss and the damage because of the Tornado in Southern Mississippi. Our hearts and thoughts go to all of those who were affected by the Tornado but people need more than that.

Federal Government has declared a major disaster in the State of Mississippi following a massive tornado that destroyed or heavily damaged more than 800 homes in the southern part of the state.

Raindrop Helping Hands launches a campaign that focuses on all aspects of the relief efforts following Tornado pass through Southern counties of Mississippi. Please send us your generous donation. Funds collected through the Helping Hands' account will be delivered to the authorized people in the region.

Raindrop Foundation celebrated Eid-ul Adha in Lubbock

(Saturday, October 27th, 2013)Raindrop Foundation Lubbock branch celebrated the Eid-ul Adha (Kurban Bayrami) with the local community. The celebration has started at 11:00 am. Children played with jumping case, clown and and different kind of games. Turkish food and dessert were served for dinner. After the dinner, lots of gifts were given to children. Everyone who attended to eid program were very happy and mirthful. As a Raindrop Turkish House we would like to thank all attendees and guests. 

Cooking Class, Enjoy with Us!

Ladies! Do not hesitate to come enjoy with us at cooking class!

The cooking classes have been already started at Raindrop Turkish House in Lubbock. The class was started with an introduction presentation of cooking classes. There were 10 students eager to learn how to cook the variety of delicious Turkish cuisine; the first menu included red lentil balls and mosaic cake.
