| Bulgur Pilaf |
Ingredients: 1/3 cup of olive oil 2/3 stick butter 3 cups of bulgur 4.5 cups of chicken broth or water 1 onion, 1 bell pepper, 2 gloves garlic. 2 tomatoes 1 table spoon pepper paste, 1 table spoon tomato paste Salt, dry mint optional Preparation: Heat the oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and pepper and cook until lightly browned, about 3 minutes Add the garlic and cook for another minute, and add pepper and tomato paste Stir the bulgur into the mixture, making sure that the bulgur is well coated. Add tomatoes and cook 2 more minutes Add chicken broth or water and add salt lastly Reduce the heat to low after mixture starts to boil. Continue to cook until bulgur is cooked and tender. |
